 HERO CARD RULING

This is a more in depth lesson about heroes. I'm going to group then talk about the cards i feel are necesssary to talk about. if there is a card you have a question about that revolves heroes, comment below. any other quesions/concerning/smart ass remarks, post below.

TRAPS:
A hero emerges: This card DOES NOT negate the attack.

Hero Blast: this card CAN bring neos alius back to your hand because neos alius is considered a normal monster when in your grave


SPELLS:
super polymerization: THIS IS A BIG ONE! SUPER POLY CAN BE USED ON YOUR OWN FACEDOWN! This is because you know what your own card is. you cannot use it on your opponents face down.

skyscraper: its only when your attacking. during any other time your hero does not gain the attack boost. If the atk is equal your hero doesnt gain 1000 atk.

skyscraper 2 - hero city: this cards eff only works if the monster u want was destroyed by battle. you cannot fuse then think "oh i can bring him back"

mask change: this card is attribute to attribute and doesnt have to be done with a fusion as long as its a face up hero you're ok.

mystical space typhoon: No it does not negate.

miracle fusion: its only if the card is in the grave and/or on the field. it must be used for the summon of an elemental hero or no go

parallel world fusion: again only for elemental hero and read this card. you cannot special summon after this.


MONSTERS:
e hero stratos: this is a big deal. alot of controversy over him. If he is summoned and your opponent bottomless trap holes him, you CAN use his eff. if his summon is negated, you cant use his eff. Eff 1 where he can destroy a facedown isnt a quick eff. as in you can't activate eff 1 when your opponent uses solemn judgement.

e hero ocean: STANDBY PHASE

e hero woods: STANDBY PHASE!!!!!!!!

e hero wild heart: nothing that involves traps can be used on him excluding call of the haunted.

e hero prisma: he gets that card name this is why he can be used to summon cards liek rainbow neos

e hero heat: his eff works on himself! he gets to the field and has

king of the swamp: he doesnt take the card name! he just replaces a card! in other works to get out shining flare wingman you need flame wingman and sparky. he basically makes it so you just need sparky because he will substitute flame wingman.

honest: honestly he is quite straight forward. you can use his discard eff on your turn and your opponents turn.

neo-spacian grand mole: his eff is useless if he is facedown.


fusions:
e hero absolute zero: he gains 500 atk for everywater whether it be on your opponents side or not. his eff doesnt activate if he was face down. when he leaves the field it means leaves the field if he is no longer on the field his eff activates unless he was negated or like i previously said, was face down.

e hero giant tornado: effect only works on the monsters currently on the field. if a new monster is summoned on your opponents side after tornados ss then its attack is not halved

e hero electrum: he is everything BUT DARK. if your opponent has a field spell thats boosts any attribute then dark he will gain its at/def/ or whatever boost if it applies to both players. Ally of justice castor can kill him with its effect.


rainbow neos:can only be summoned with neos or rainbow dark or regular rainbow dragon. HOWEVER you can also get him with prisma and rainbow dark or rainbow dragon, or with neos and phantom of chaos. This is only because they inherit those cards names. you cannot go phantom fuse with prisma. Prisma can only take neos place not rainbow dragon.

thank u ender. also as for redx for a first post not too bad.

a nice collection of short rulings for quick reference.

next time or later go into a bit more detail on more complicated cards but as a general quick reference this is fine.

I'm prolly gonna be hated for commenting like this, but someone gotta say it. Elemental HERO is the widest Archetype we have. Therefore, it's also rather easy to write about it. A friend of mine, both on DN and irl, has taken the chance of actually doing so, and created the so far largest HERO Guide we know. This:

You should at least add that HERO Blast only needs a target in your grave, and doesn't care about what the opponent has.

Also, Stardust can NOT negate it, even if the opponent has a monster of 0 ATK and you're forced to destroy it. (Destroying IS mandatory, if possible.)
